The following leagues are available at the Brownsburg Curling Club:
Monday - Evening
Players may join up to play on these nights as match committee forms new and balanced teams every four to five weeks. Throughout the season these teams play for prizes such as our Christmas turkey draw and the “Pat Lid” pin.
Ladder
Players form their own teams and compete throughout the season normally on Tuesday and Wednesday. Depending on the number of teams some games might be played on Thursday or Sunday nights. The skip is responsible to make sure that his players are available to play on the scheduled game date and to find replacements if required. The season culminates with an exciting playoff format for the Club Championship, A-Trophy, B-Trophy and C-Trophy.
Mixed - Friday - Evening
The Mixed Friday will be held every (2) weeks. (Dates will be posted). Teams will be created with (2) couples and will remain the same for half the season (October to December). Then the couples will change teams for the last part of the season (January to April) Like for the latter the skip will be responsible to make sure that his (her) players are available to play on the scheduled game date and to find replacements if required. It will be a (6) end game and there might be (2) draws based on the number of teams. If you are interested just register your couple or if you do not have a partner we will try to find you one.
2vs2 - Thursday Evening
One sheet is reserved every Thursday evening for a block of three hours (two games) to practice curling in teams of two. Although held in a competitive context, these games offer an opportunity to perfect different techniques due to a fast pace of the game and a high number of throws per player.
Monday Morning Curling
Monday mornings, curlers take the ice. The match committee forms teams for fun and spirited action.
Social - Friday - Evening
The social Friday will be held every (2) weeks. (Dates will be posted). Come and play a relaxing 6 end game with other club members. The teams will be created on the spot. What better way to wind down a hectic workweek then a fun and relaxing Friday night curling.
